Victoria University of Wellington is delighted to launch an international search for the newly established Bank of New Zealand Chair in Business in Asia.
Based in the School of Marketing and International Business, located within the centre of Wellington, the political and financial centre of New Zealand and home to a number of New Zealand’s businesses, the position allows for easy access to key national institutions and important decision makers. There are excellent, well-established links between the School, many of the corporate leaders, financial institutions, and government agencies in the city, allowing for the development of mutually beneficial partnerships.
The successful candidate should possess academic and business experience relating to an Asian context. They should have a good understanding of the nature of collaboration with private and public sector partners, have the ability to operate transparently, and engage effectively with the business community both within New Zealand and abroad.
This is an excellent opportunity for an academic with energy, ideas, and academic credibility, who wishes to be part of shaping New Zealand’s evolving business partnerships with its Asian neighbours, along with forging strong relationships with business and policy communities both in New Zealand and the Asian continent.
