The Victoria University of Wellington is seeking to appoint a Professor of Accounting who will be based in the School of Accounting and Commercial Law.
The Professor of Accounting will provide academic leadership in research, maintain a research record of a high international standard, contribute to the development and delivery of high quality teaching programmes, and contribute to leadership in the effective management of the School. The Professor of Accounting will also develop and maintain research links with the Centre for Accounting, Governance and Taxation Research, other institutions including business and government sectors, and the accounting profession.
As one of the foremost centres in Australasia for research in Accounting and Commercial Law, the School of Accounting and Commercial Law administers, promotes and teaches papers for individuals working towards attaining degrees, diplomas and other programmes in the fields of accounting, commercial law and taxation. Undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications at Victoria University of Wellington have regional and international recognition, and degrees are accredited by the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA), CPA Australia, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
