Professor Jin Zhang has been appointed to the position of Professor of Finance at the University of Otago. Jin is presently Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Finance, and Director for Financial Innovations and Risk Management, University of Hong Kong. Jin's research interest is in derivatives, real option and quantitative finance. He has been studying problems in option pricing, interest rate derivatives and credit risk models and is designing new volatility instruments and developing new methodology to calibrate option pricing models.
