Taskforce calls for more certainty for CRI research funding

The Crown Research Institute Taskforce’s report urges the New Zealand government to change the way it funds the CRIs so that the institutes can do more research which focus on national interests. The Taskforce likewise says that ‘institutes should be allocated much more money on a long term basis rather than competing for short term contracts’.
