Turning science into commerce

Maire Geoghegan-Quinn, the newly appointed EU commissioner for research, innovation and science, has announced that Europe needs an influx of venture capital for inventions to turn into commercial successes. "If we could deliver a large and harmonised single market for services, together with a European venture capital market, just imagine how much we could achieve."
