This recent podcast from the BBC World Service is a very interesting discussion on Executive Search in Academia. As specialists with over 15 years of experience in senior academic appointments, we can identify with many of the same complexities as discussed in the podcast. There is, without question, an art to approaching and building long term relationships with clients and candidates. A key element to this is the appreciation that academic executive search, especially at the senior academic and executive level, is different to general recruitment and each discipline and university brings its own nuances and challenges. We thrive on obtaining a level of understanding of all these factors whereby we can identify and encourage applications from the best possible candidates for our clients.
